Used to love this place when it was under different ownership. Some of the new staff is rude and makes coming here such a disappointment.

Came here cause I heard lots of good things about the shaved ice. My friends and I ordered the strawberry and the soy bean powder flavors. The ice here is not the typical Korean shaved ice that most are accustomed to but it's more fine and "snowy." Very soft and it just melts in your mouth. The price is around $10 which is a little expensive but at least the portions are pretty big. Overall, the shaved ice weren't too bad. It wasn't great but it wasn't bad. It does hit the spot on a nice summer day. It's a good thing to have while chilling with friends around the area.

There aren't many options for slower paced coffee shops and cafes in the federal way area, so I was pleasantly surprised when this place popped up! Service is a little slow, but the coffee & desserts are generally worth the wait. Always lots of seating available, even when the place is packed. A cute and quaint place to get some work done with your laptop (free wifi) while enjoying some artisan coffee in a ceramic mug, or a nice place to go for dessert after dinner (lots of variety available) with a glass or bottle of wine. I find myself here more and more because of the yummy shaved ice & because of the friendly service. Nice to have a place to just enjoy a latte or two! Also, a tip for you: every time I order, I always wonder how they're going to find me since they bring your order to you without giving you a number, but they always do! Don't worry about it - just find a seat.

This is a neat little cafe to sit with a friend and have coffee, tea or a snack. We tried the Oreo shaved ice and it was yummy, it's the perfect size for sharing. Pricing is a little high.

Me & my cousin ordered a sandwich, a cheesecake & a shake, we sit down and wait for our food *** 20 minutes later, me & my cousin have not gotten our food yet. The waitress finally comes out to me and my cousin and tells us 'Were you guys the one that ordered ___ sub?' We replied 'yes' the waiter then tells us that we have to order a different kind of sub, we were confused and hungry, why would you make us wait 20 minutes for food just to tell us that we have to order a different sandwich, but in conclusion, the service is terrible but the food is decent.

I'm not used to the Federal Way area but my friends and I were hanging around and we winded up in this cute little cafe. I love their design. It's clean and they have many comfortable seating and a good menu selection for drinks (they also have shaved ice! it is a must try). Being a barista at Starbucks, i get tired of the regular espresso drinks and etc. I tried their coffee and tea and was surprised at how delicious it tasted! The baristas bring your coffee/tea/whatever you order to you (which is so nice). I would definitely come here more often if I lived closer. Final thoughts: Love the menu selection, tastes great, baristas are nice and have good customer service, clean and cute cafe, comfortable and inviting :)

We returned here for a late night date last night and still like the convenience of having a clean place to hang out late (meaning no drugs, hook ups, sleaziness that usually goes on everywhere else that is open past 10pm). We got the grapefruit-ade (yum! Loved it) and my boyfriend got the blue citron-ade (we didn't know what citron is and were put off by the pulp in the drink and it tasted 'syrupy' to him) and the Reuben sandwich. We were pleasantly surprised by the decent size of the sandwich and both like the flavor and softness of the bread, though it could have had more meat. Overall we like this place and will be coming back. I wish their some of their seating wasn't so worn out and their menu had a little bit more description of the 'ades'.

Customer Service - is fair, depending on who's working that day & if you meet the owner, she's a quiet sweet person. :) I always come here for the hot Chai Lattes, and I must say I haven't tasted better. It satisfies my sweet buds EVERY-TIME. I always come here when I have time, with my Bestfriend, Significant, or siblings. Great for socializing, catching up with friends, studying, or just a "Me-Day". The view isn't all great since it's just cars driving by on the daily... Since it is on the side of Pacific Highway. I always order the Smoked Salmon sandwich. SO GOOD... but take out the overwhelming salmon sauce that's tastes like wasabi or horseradish omg... I literally died. It burned my nose to the point where I stood still staring at my Bestfriend in tears. Overall, great place, great food, great drinks. I have yet to taste there desserts.

This place was alright. The place looked very cozy and welcoming and since the day was hot my friends and I decided to order the Korean shaved ice. We picked strawberry shaved ice and it was $10 whooping dollars plus tax (kinda pricy for shaved ice- maybe I'm used to Korean pricing). Anyways the display was nice but...they didn't add much topping. It was slices of banana and strawberry with TINY serving of red sweet bean and TINY bit of condensed milk so when we ate, there was a lot of shaved ice left with no topping...and we paid like $10 for it. So don't go for shaved ice. Wasn't that great. But their green tea latte is pretty good. Cookie was meh.

Great atmosphere, good food and great coffee. Service is slow, not the place to go if you are in a hurry. The quality makes up for it.

There arn't that many places in Federal Way where you can get shaved ice. This place is just one of those rare places I guess. The shaved ice in itself is delicious. The ice is actually made out of milk, really soft, not crunchy but melts in your mouth kind of ice. The price ranges anywhere from $9-12. They have 3 different kinds, a fruity one, a traditional one with redbean and cookies and cream one. My friend and I got the traditional one and we really enjoyed it. Comes with ice cream on top. I am planning to get coffee here next time as I have not tried anything else. My only complaint is that it was a hot day and the cafe does not have air conditioning. We were melting in our seats while enjoying the shaved ice. Otherwise, I don't have to much to say.

My first time coming here was great! Awesome service, amazing ambience, and lots of tables. They have free wifi and LOTS of parking. I came mainly for their shaved ice and it was amazing. My friends and I have tried different shaved ice restaurants and we say thus one is the best. At the time, they only had 3 choices for shaved ice: green tea, strawberry , and caramel. The reason why I give 4 starts instead of 5 is because I've only been here once, and I don't have enough to say to make it 5 stars. But my first time was a really good experience!

This place is nice with a lot of seating areas. I ordered shaved ice and strawberry smoothie and it was just ok (just ice, your choice of topping) and it was overpriced. Gave it a second try after the first time but I don't think there is a chance that I would be back.

Spacious cafe with comfortable seating. Definitely a place you can spend a long time at just chatting or using wi-fi - many groups were doing just that. This place has tons of huge windows but I feel like that works against it since it's way too bright especially in the afternoon when the sun is reflecting in from every direction. We had the nuts bingsoo which is Korean milk shaved ice with red bean, soybean powder, and other toppings. It was decent but didn't compare to anything I tried when I was in Seoul.

Shaved ice ( soy flavors) is good. However service can be so so and slow and sometimes takes forever to get your drink. My friend had to wait 45 min for his coffee and had to ask and found out they gave it to different customer. Expect to wait for your order and needs to be patient.

Great place to sit down with a coffee or tea. Some sandwich options. Free wifi. Comfortable seats. Open late.

I had the strawberry shaved ice. It took approximately 30min. to be served the menu item. An Americano took 10min.+ For me, the items were not worth the wait.

Finally, after searching for a long (long, long, LONG) time, I've finally found somewhere that serves patbingsu! For those of you who aren't familiar with this yummy Korean dessert, it's shaved ice served with fresh fruit, azuki (red) bean, condensed milk and topped with ice cream/froyo. After discovering Cafe Noir through a Yelp friend, my family and I came here specifically to try the patbingsu. There were 3 different options (oreo, fruit and nut) each for $9.26. We ordered the fruit patbingsu, which came with fresh (and very sweet) strawberries, bananas, red bean, condensed milk and vanilla ice cream. Unlike traditional shaved, the ice was milky soft - no crunchy pieces or chunks! There was the perfect amount of each topping...just enough for each bite. Contrary to the other reviews, we received great customer service! It only took about 5 minutes for the patbingsu to be brought out, even though the place was packed. Only catch - the gal working told us that we were the last customers to order patbingsu because they were out of ingredients. It was about 8 PM and the cafe closed at midnight, so make sure you go early!

Only reason I come here is because this is the only place in Federal way where they have somewhat legit Korean style shaved iced. They changed owners and remodeled the cafe-way better. Get the strawberry shaved ice and NOT the oreo one. The oreo one is way too dry and lacks any flavor. The last time I was here the cashier got my order wrong. I asked for oreo shaved ice with extra condensed milk on the side but she thought I wanted oreo milkshake??? Got our shaved ice in 15 mins or so, they forgot my extra condensed milk, didn't bother to ask cause I just wanted to eat it by then. Boooo, cause it really needed it cause it was so dry! And it was $10 dollars! So overpriced when its essentially shaved milk, oreo crumbles and 2 pieces of brownies.. I would come back to try the strawberry shaved ice again. Wish they added more variety of fruits or at least mochi to their shaved ice!
